To compile the list, Onalytica looked at which PR professionals and businesses were leading the online discussion. They analysed close to 700,000 tweets to identify the top 100 most influential brands and individuals from around the world.
How the list was compiled:
Onalytica used a PageRank based methodology to extract influencer metrics, taking into account the number and quality of contextual references that a user receives. Data was then filtered based on how much a user is engaged in the conversation and the influence they drive through their networks.
