But, if you’re able to be proactive and flexible in your approach, you might just land some fantastic, timely coverage in smaller publications, or online via Social PR or top bloggers in your industry.

Three Ways To generate Summer PR

  1. Go Social: Head straight to Social Media and start making those all important relationships with top bloggers, influencers and journalists who talk about your industry and serve your target market. Reach out, form connections and put yourself in the right place at the right time for summer features.
  2. Pick up the phone: If you have target publications – or, if you’ve been nurturing relationships with bloggers and social influencers online – pick up the phone and call them to discuss last minute opportunities. PR can be worth it’s weight in gold when you get featured by the best outlets in your industry, so a little bit of perseverance could be worth it for great coverage.
  3. Get creative! If PR opportunities aren’t presenting themselves to you…go out and get them! Plan ‘PR stunts’ or plan wildly creative marketing campaigns to grab attention. Stay in line with your brand, always act with your target market in mind and remember, anything is possible…so go get ’em!
