The Dorset Seafood Festival celebrates Dorset’s long-standing connection with the sea and its fishing communities. The festival highlights the journey of seafood from sea to plate, promoting understanding of sustainability, local fishermen, and coastal issues.

Recognised by The Telegraph as one of the Best UK Festivals of 2024, and featured in Condé Nast Traveller’s list of the best food festivals in the UK, the event is a key fixture in the British summer calendar.

Held annually in Weymouth, the festival combines outstanding seafood, English sparkling wine, local producers, family entertainment, and live chef demonstrations on the harbour.

What we did.

After managing the festival’s PR for more than ten years, In The Bag PR is now the sole owner and organiser of the Dorset Seafood Festival. For the past three years, we have also been company directors, overseeing every part of the event.

Our work includes:

• Full festival management and delivery
• Overseeing logistics, infrastructure, and event operations
• Working with local councils, traders, and suppliers
• Managing all PR, communications, and marketing
• Developing sponsor and brand partnerships
• Building national media coverage across print, digital, and broadcast
