DORSET PR & INFLUENCER
To celebrate International Women’s Day on Sunday 8th March 2020, Tea India announced its collaboration with Action Village India on a project that will assist 900 girls in rural Indian communities to continue their secondary education.
Earlier this year, and just in time for International Women’s Day 2020, we were approached by national tea brand Tea India to work with them on a charity collaboration focusing on girls and education in rural India.
The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day was #EachForEqual demonstrating how we can all collectively work towards a gender equal world. Tea India, along with Action Village India is working to address discriminatory norms in rural India where the status of women and girls remains very low.
Our role in this project was to generate both PR coverage and influencer outreach within the British Asian community, raising awareness of the project and also highlighting that it will be featured on Tea India’s packaging for Masala Chai tea.
After researching both media contacts and influencers we produced lists of targets within the British Asian community to reach out to. With a press release and email send out we approached our key targets, using International Women’s Day as the news hook.
The support we generated within this community was brilliant with features in Asian publications such as the Asian Express and Eastern Eye and influencer content generated by singers, bloggers, Miss India UK and many more.
